Emotional high resolution of crisis management simulations
Résumé
The emotional high resolution of a simulation, that is the capacity of a simulation
to create in participants the whole gamut of emotions that the real situation simulated (here)
would, characterize the highest possible degree of fidelity and participants’ engagement for
the simulation. However, observing and analyzing emotions remain difficult exercises,
complicated by the ambivalent nature of emotions. The authors present here a concrete
evaluation of emotions displayed in crisis management simulations and discuss expanding
the debriefing to better take into account the emotional high resolution.
